Karen Crew, ESQ. | Director

Karen Crew joined The Northern Trust Company in 2010 as Senior Legal Counsel. Ms. Crew has over 15 years experience in all aspects of credit, including complex financial structuring, commercial lending, syndicated loans, workouts, DIP financings and bankruptcy, as well as corporate law and real estate finance experience. Prior to joining Northern, Ms. Crew was a partner in the Corporate and Finance Department of the law firm of Ruden McClosky, P.A., located in Miami, Florida (now known as Greenspoon Marder), and served on the firm’s Diversity Committee. Ms. Crew began her career as an associate in the Global Project Finance Group at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where she represented both institutional lenders and equity sponsors in various infrastructure financing transactions in the firm’s New York and Hong Kong offices. She also worked as a senior associate in Banking & Restructuring Group of the “magic circle” law firm, Clifford Chance, prior to moving to Florida.

Ms. Crew received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude with honors, from the University of Central Florida in 1995, and her J.D. degree from The New York University School of Law in 1999, where she was an Article and Note Editor of the NYU Journal of Legislation and Public Policy. She is licensed to practice law in New York and Florida.
