THE COVID(EOS) (BELOW) WERE DANCE NOW!’S INSTINCTIVE RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 SHUTDOWN. STARTED AS FOOTAGE OF REHEARSALS IN PREPARATION FOR UPCOMING SHOWS THAT WERE INEVITABLY CANCELLED, THEY BECAME THE OUTLET FOR THE COMPANY’S PROJECTS AND PROGRAMMING, TRANSFORMED INTO VIDEODANCE PRESENTATIONS, AND WAYS TO CHRONICLE OUR COLLECTIVE JOURNEY THROUGH THE PANDEMIC.

Contaminated depicts the journey of unwelcomed incarceration we have all endured as the Coronavirus shut our country and the world down, and the hope that we may wash this trauma away in time.

Trying to stay present with our civic obligations, the Dance NOW! dancers encouraged our audiences to stand up and be counted through the 2020 Census—even in quarantine!!!
