Jean Louis Da Silva Bueno | Dancer
Raised in Miami, Fl, Jean began dancing at the age of 16 at The Dance Lab at MBDA. He received a scholarship to attend the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive after which he was then recruited to train with the Pre-Professional Program at JBS in New York City. There he continued to develop his skills in classical ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, Latin jazz, and musical theater. Choreographers and instructors he had the opportunity to work with include Angelica Stiskin, Gabriela Garcia, Karen Gayle, Bradley Shelver, Beth Crandall, Adrian Lee, Elizabeth Yilmaz, Antonio Jefferson, Jeff Lapes, and more.
While training at JBS, Jean was invited to join their Pre-Professional Company, Joffrey Ballet Concert Group, in addition to the training program. There he danced under the artistic direction of Bradley Shelver and had the opportunity to tour the U.S. performing works by Shelver and Lindsay Grymes. Additionally, Jean has worked with and performed in pieces by Adam Barruch, Catie Leasca, Alex Biegelson, Angelica Stiskin, and Michael Waldrop. Jean joins Dance Now! Miami for the 2023/24 season.
