Spice up your holiday season with Dance NOW!’s saucy adult contemporary dance interpretation of the Nutcracker, “Clara.” This contemporary dance charts the journey of a young woman, questioning, discovering, exploring and experiencing the exotic, the unknown and the forbidden, in search of love, identity and self determination. Once she lets her hair down, she goes after Dross and the result is self-actualization for both of them. This one-act suite has a reimagined soundtrack of the Tchaikovsky classic created by composer and ongoing collaborator Davidson Jaconello out of Poland, with costumes from the Morales sisters and a unique and nimble set which transforms the world Clara experiences, conceived and designed by Bruce F. Brown.
