David Harris | Dancer
David, an Ohio native, began to discover dance at age 17. He began to develop a love or ballet at Central Ohio Youth Ballet throughout highschool. He then attended The University of incinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music as a ballet performance major. This being where he studied with Qi Jiang, Michael Tevlin, Deirdre Carberry, Andre Megerdichian, and Judith Mikita.
He also was privileged to work with guest artists such as Pablo Francisco Ruvalcaba Tovar (The Limon Company) and Karen Russo Burke (Dayton Ballet). During his time on campus at CCM, Harris performed prestigious works such as: Jose Limon’s A Choreographic offering, Basilio in Don Quixote, an ugly stepsister in Cinderella and more. David joined Dance NOW! Miami for their 20th season in 2019. Since Joining the company, Harris has been privileged to perform with The Limon Company in the restaging of The Waltstein Sonata both in 2022 and 2023.
Harris is a dancer, teacher, and an artist in the drag community of South Florida and has been expanding what it means to be an artist in his own life.
