Dance NOW! Miami takes audiences on a journey from fantasy through poetry to athleticism with site-specific dance performances at three Miami Beach Public Art Installations. Conceived and choreographed by Co-Director Hannah Baumgarten, each piece will be performed twice with live musical accompaniment guided by musical director Aleksandar Djuric with production design by Bruce F. The dreamer’s life is invaded by three whimsical creatures. Devoid of identity, they taunt him in a playful and devious exchange along the humanoids in an effervescent atmosphere.

Bent Pool (2019) Elmgreen & Dragset Pride Park 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139

One duet and one solo play out emotional journeys on either side of this surreal environment. The couple falls deeper and deeper in love becoming utterly connected while on the other side the person is going off the deep end, in desperation, looking for a connection they cannot find.

Morris’ (2010) Dan Graham 1111 Plaza, 1111 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139 

A young man struggles desperately to escape a from his invisible confinement; sometimes withdrawing, other times slamming up against its walls. Is it imposed by outside forces or by his own sense of conflict? Eventually he discovers that with calm, he can simply walk out of his prison leaving all pain behind.
